In today’s economy, when you are selling anything from household furniture to your actual house, you will find that there are many benefits to sell FSBO. Why sell FSBO and what does it stand for? It stands for “For Sale by Owner” and more and more people are learning that this is the way for them to make the most money from the sale, saves lots of time and stay in control of the sale. Read on to learn about why this benefits you and find out why sell FSBO is fast becoming so popular as the way to sell your merchandise and property.

You may wonder, “Why Sell FSBO?” There are plenty of good, solid answers. If you are selling your home, car or items, there are benefits in all departments. Less stress is one major benefit to answer “Why sell FSBO?” We all have plenty of stress today, more than enough to go around. If you can eliminate stress by selling something yourself, go for it! If you are selling your home, you won’t have to live by the real estate agent’s schedule and leave every time they want to show it to potential buyers. You don’t have to have the agent as a middle man and have all conversation go from you to the agent to the buyer and all back again.

Why sell FSBO? Because believe it or not, you are the one with the most experience. You know your home better than anyone else. You know your car better than anyone else. You know exactly what selling points will make a sale. The agent does not know about how last winter, when the electricity went out during a snow storm, how cozy and safe your family felt sitting around the fireplace and actually enjoying that family time. The agent does not know about your wonderful neighbors, who when you were ill, came over to your home all the time with home cooked dinners. You are the best seller that there is.

Why sell FSBO is best answered by one simple yet powerful word: money. No matter who you have as an agent, unless it is a family member who waives off all fees, a good chunk of the sale of your home is going to go into the agent’s pocket. Agents can get anywhere from six to ten percent of the sale. Think about how much money your home is worth and think about whether you wish to put up to ten percent of that into an agent’s pocket. Especially when you can do the same job that the agent does!

If you are selling your car, why pay a used car salesman to sell your car? And why trade it in? If you car is in decent condition, more often than not, you can get more for your car as opposed to the price that the car salesman of your new car will tell you it is worth. Why? Because he will be going by book value and if you have taken care of your car, you can sell it for much more than book value. You can then take that money and apply it to purchasing your next car. It is suggested to have your car checked out for any issues to prevent a buyer from returning it. Many states have what is called a Lemon Law; cars can be returned if they can not pass state inspection or have must have major repairs in order to be driven safely. Your mechanic can tell you if you are all set to go. Why sell FSBO? Because in today’s budget driven world, we all need as much money as possible.
